DSBN's Mission and Values

At the DSBN, we value the role and importance of each individual’s contribution.

We all bring something different to our schools, and that’s what makes each school community unique. It’s the individual talents and dedication of each person that are the true source of the DSBN’s strength.

When you work at the DSBN, you are part of a supportive, innovative community that works towards doing what’s best for kids, and helps every student achieve success. Whether you’re in the classroom, on the playing fields, in the office or in the cafeteria, we know it’s the dedicated staff who bring our mission to life – you are what creates a child’s school experience, and contribute to students reaching their full potential.

We proudly serve over 40,000 students across almost 100 elementary and secondary schools in Niagara, located between Lake Erie in the South and Lake Ontario to the North.

Our Mission: Within a culture of care, inclusion, and innovation; the District School Board of Niagara's purpose is to inspire lifelong learning and foster relationships through meaningful connections with individuals, communities, and the environment.

Our Vision: Learning & Growing Together

Our Values: For us, it’s the 3 Rs: Relationships. Respect. Responsibility. These are the core values that guide as we work with our partners, develop innovative new programs and supports to meet the needs of todays’ youth, and are our values in making decisions that are best for students.
